Biography Chris W. Runge (1906-1972) Chris W. Runge was born in San Francisco. He attended San Francisco Polytechnic High School and studied through an atelier of the San Francisco Architecture Club between 1928 and 1934. Chris W. Runge was born in San Francisco, attended San Francisco Polytechnic High School and studied through an atelier of the San Francisco Architecture Club between 1928 and 1934. He graduated from the Harvard School of Architecture in 1935. He worked as a draftsman in a number of architecture firms and served with the U.S. Navy Construction Battalion during World War II.
